The hot flaming oil test device conforms to Annex S.3 of IEC 62368-1: 2018, IEC60950-1:2005 and IEC60950-1:2013 clause 4.6.2, Annex A.3.

 

Equipment Structure


 

The Flammable Liquid Fire Test Apparatus is a specialized testing solution designed to evaluate the fire protection performance of electrical and electronic equipment enclosures. It simulates scenarios where flammable liquids used in equipment may ignite due to overheating, leak from protective enclosures, and potentially cause electrical fires, threatening both equipment reliability and personal safety.

During testing, a precisely measured 10mL flammable liquid (with specified calorific value, density, and flash point) is heated to its ignition point in a metal ladle. After burning briefly, the motor-driven dispenser rotates the ladle at a defined height (100mm) and flow rate (1mL/s), pouring the liquid steadily onto the center of the test sample opening. The fire protection performance of the sample is assessed based on whether the specified ignition bedding (50mm away, 40g/m² density) ignites under these conditions.

This apparatus ensures controlled, repeatable testing and allows manufacturers, R&D centers, and quality laboratories to verify that their equipment enclosures meet strict fire safety requirements, reducing the risk of electrical fires and improving product safety.
